SUNSCREEN: IS IT PROTECTING OR CONTRIBUTING TO CANCER?

lady-inthe-sun

You’ve been told to slather on sunscreen to protect yourself from cancer, but I can tell you that is a CROCK!

a. The sun helps you make vitamin D that protects you from cancer.

Sure, you don’t want to burn, but you should give yourself at least 10-20 minutes of direct sun exposure every day.  You can make 10,000 to 12,000 international units (IU) of vitamin D in just half-hour but not when you are covered up with sunscreen. Wearing sunscreen pretty much kills the ability of your skin to produce vitamin D from sunlight and you need that vitamin D to help protect you from getting cancer.

b. Sunscreen doesn’t defend against melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer.

c. Sunscreen contains toxic chemicals (common names are benzophenone, avobenzone, homosalate and ethoxycinnmate) which can contribute to the development of cancer.

Those are 3 reasons to avoid commercial sunscreens.

So, what should you do?

After you have given yourself as much time as your skin can handle in the sun without burning, find shade, cover up, and/or use an all-natural sunscreen.

Remember that a label that reads “all natural” may not be entirely all natural due to the lack of regulations around such claims, as Catherine discovered.  The only way to know is by reading your labels and recognizing what ingredients are safe or not safe.

CATHERINE’S STORY: POISONED BY “NATURAL” SUNSCREEN

“Hi Brenda,

I have been feeling ill after applying sunscreen. Nausea, headache, dizzy, pronounced depression.  I tried a sunscreen from a drug store years ago and I had strong suicidal thoughts.  Figured out it was the sunscreen after 3 days.  This recent sunscreen has taken me a week to figure out.  I bought it at a health food store so thought it would be okay but obviously it wasn’t.   I feel like I have been poisoned and need to take something to detox the chemicals.  Do you have any suggestions?” Catherine C, Alberta

ANTIPERSPIRANTS: WHERE DO THE TOXINS GO?

EXCERPTS FROM:

21 Secrets Most Doctors Will Never Tell You About Your Breasts”

“Deodorant, unlike antiperspirant, does not block the release of underarm perspiration. It neutralizes the smell, using antiseptic ingredients that deal with the bacteria.  Antiperspirants actually clog or block the pores that release sweat.

Your body needs to release toxins.  However, when you use an antiperspirant, you stop a key area of detoxification.  The toxins-meant to be expelled through the underarms-get deposited in the lymph nodes below the arms.

Studies have continually shown that nearly all breast cancers occur in the upper outer quadrant (UOQ) of the breast.  Interestingly, this is precisely where the lymph nodes are located!…………

And then there is the better-known issue of parabens, which are found in deodorants. Researchers have found traces of chemicals called parabens in every sample of tissue taken from 20 different breast tumors.  Parabens have been shown to be able to mimic the action of the female hormone estrogen, which can drive the growth of human breast tumors.”

Testimonials About Miessence Roll-On Organic Deodorant

“I’ve spent a good sum of money over the years trying different natural deodorants that turned out to be ineffective, including Jason’s, Tom’s and also Lafe’s Natural & Organic Hemp Oil deodorant. (The latter claims to last up to 24 hours, but in fact lasted maybe an hour.)

I’m happy to say that Miessence paraben-free deodorant actually works. My daughter has also tried the product and is quite pleased, as she’s also gone through a number of trial and errors as well, including a crystal that she said she’d have to apply every ten minutes if it was actually to do anything.

Thanks for letting me know about this excellent product.”  Gail A, Victoria

“In my 20 years of searching, I’ve not found any natural deodorant that actually controlled odour for longer than a few hours.  Miessence deodorant absolutely WORKS!  One application works all day, and even all night – incredible!  I am so happy I finally found something that lived up to its claims.” Lisa, Victoria
